There is a wealth of resources now available for debaters to enhance their development.
Navigating, prioritising and fully understanding these resources can sometimes be a challenge for younger debaters.
That’s why we will work to identify some of the most valuable resources below. We will also integrate them into selected Academy classes, enabling students of the Auckland Debating Academy to maximise the benefit that these resources can provide to young debaters.

WSDC Octo-Final 2011
This debate was between New Zealand (affirmative team) and Singapore (negative team) at the World Schools Debating Championships 2011 in Dundee, Scotland.
The debate was on the motion ‘This house would abandon nuclear energy’ and was won on a 3-2 split decision by Singapore.
Australs Grand Final 2012
The Grand Final of the Australasian Intervarsity Debating Championships 2012 in Wellington, New Zealand.
The debate was between Monash 1 (proposition) and Monash 2 (opposition) on the motion ‘This house would introduce good samaritan laws.’ In this debate, ‘good samaritan laws’ was taken to refer to laws which criminalise bystanders of crimes who fail to take appropriate actions to prevent those crimes.
The debate was won on a 5-4 split decision by the proposition team, Monash 1.
